My ultimate goal is to increase overall wellbeing and happiness. Whether at work or in free time I love to see happy faces around me.
By day I work as Chief Happiness Officer at a software company called Sofokus. For those who find this title odd, Chief Happiness Officer, aka CHO, is a modern HR lead, whose primary target is to ensure everyone at the company is happy and able to do their work well. In other words, I’m an HR Director with a special emphasise on wellbeing at work.
At Sofokus we are dedicated to create ‘Better Mondays’ for our employees. However, our long-term goal is to spread the word of happiness and meaningful work not only to our own employees but also to other companies and people. That being said, I am hosting our Better Monday podcast, which aims to help leaders, entrepreneurs and other growth-minded people get up to full speed with a 360-degree view of happiness, work–life balance and organizational responsibility.
I also ran my own wellness company for several years. The primary target of that company was to help its customers towards a healthier and happier life through personal training and coaching. In this company the holistic view of coaching was emphasised, meaning every customer was met as an individual.
All in all, I am passionate about occupational wellbeing. Thus, I am also a PhD student at Tampere University, where I write my doctoral thesis on happiness at work.
I believe in the strength of positive psychology and have been fortunate to experience its power in my own life. I’m certain that because of my positive attitude towards life, I’m now able to live out my passion and reinforce the message of happiness both at work and in free time.
