My ultimate goal is to increase overall wellbeing and happiness. Whether at work or in free time I love to see happy faces around me.
By day I work as People Happiness Officer at a software company called Sofokus. For those who find this title odd, People Happiness Officer, aka PHO, is a modern HR person, whose primary target is to make sure everyone at the company is happy and able to do their work well. In other words, I’m an HR Director with an special emphasise on wellbeing at work.
At Sofokus we are dedicated to create ‘Better Mondays’ for our employees. However, our long-term goal is to spread the word of happiness and meaningful work not only to our own employees but also to other companies and people. That being said, I am hosting our Better Monday podcast, which aims to help leaders, entrepreneurs and other growth-minded people get up to full speed with a 360-degree view of happiness, work–life balance and organizational responsibility.
As an additional job I run my own wellness company called PureBeing. PureBeing is focused on helping its customers towards a healthier and happier life through personal training and coaching. The emphasise lies on holistic view of coaching, which means all customers are met as a whole.
All in all, I am passionate about occupational wellbeing. Thus, I am also a PhD student at Tampere University, where I write my doctoral thesis on intensified job demands and occupational wellbeing. I am studying potential stress buffers, which could mitigate the negative and detrimental psychosocial costs for employees caused by acceleration and intensification of working life.
I believe in the strength of positive psychology and have been fortunate to experience its power in my own life. I’m certain that because of my positive attitude towards life, I’m now able to live out my passion and reinforce the message of happiness both at work and in free time.
